The jokes on Sarah Palin

#37. Share the best lines on the Republican candidates from US talk show hosts.

Conan O’Brien said: “Vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has many views. She says she’s opposed to same-sex marriage. Did you know that? Yeah, Palin says everyone knows marriage isn’t for gay people; it’s for pregnant teenagers.”

Then Jay Leno weighed in with: “Well, it’s a very strange political campaign. I mean, out on the campaign trail, John McCain and Sarah Palin are talking about how they stood up to the Republican party, they fought the Republican establishment, and they battled Republicans. Their message: vote Republican.”

and then there’s Conan O’Brien again with:

“Sarah Palin has been getting briefed on what she needs to know to be John McCain’s vice president. The first thing they taught her was CPR.”

But the award must go to Jimmy Kimmel for this one:

“There are only 56 days until the election. I saw that they’re selling Sarah Palin action figures. Sad incident at Toys R Us today – a Sarah Palin doll shot My Little Pony.”

This is one election worth watching.

  1. To rope in the Clinton supporting women (they write these as white, whatever that means) McCain produced a Palin. Together they look and talk like to clowns, but do the hardly educated religiously biased stock they are ‘energizing’!! Palin looked and answered line and lost girl during the interview with Charlie.
The best joke was on Bush Doctrine, she did not even know that!!

  2. First there is no all in one statement “Bush Doctrine” which was a perceived political view by Charlie and the media. The Bush administration like the administrations before for quite sometime have not stated a “all in one statement” foreign policy doctrine. Foreign is a collection of policies and views. His definition is flat out wrong and so are all the news outlets that are quoting “HIS-Charlie” definition. There is a loose set of foreign policy views by the Bush administration. They include: stress on ending terrorism, spreading democracy, and an expanded view of American national security interests. If you want to know more do a search on the internet, which is more that what ABC-Charlie would do. It is not the “right of anticipatory self-defense” as a doctrine Charlie says. This is just poor, sloppy and gocha journalism. Don’t believe me??.. study some history and look things up instead of believing everything on TV. Oh, and the reason why NO ONE when they first read an article on the interview or saw the interview didn’t immediately know Charlie’s definition of Bush Doctrine… its a myth. For all those who look down on Sarah on the one question she didn’t know.. She was the one who got it right by now harboring a myth.

  3. This dizzy chic wants to wants to go to war with Russia over Georgia. Is she KRAAAZY! Since she loves to hunt, we need to put her on the front line in Iraq and fall back. We not only need tuff leadership in Washington, but also leadership with some intelligence. McCain is trigger happy Bush clone. Everytime he voted against his party he was siding with the Democrats. Hidden in McCain’s platform is a little relief for the Middle and lower class and Massive taxes for the Oil boys. Side by Side Obama’s plan will bring this nation forward. McCain will use fear and Lies to lure in the swing votes.

  4. What do you get when you put an old rooster on Viagra and a pit bull in lipstick in the barnyard ? A Old Grand Party.

  5. This lady is a loose cannon within an inch of the second most important job in this country…Yipes!!! She is so radical, so inexperienced, so full of herself, that it’s all about her and her scary ambition, and nothing about what this country needs to get out of the mess the last 8 years have brought us!! OMG!!

  6. “First there is no all in one statement “Bush Doctrine” which was a perceived political view by Charlie and the media.”

Tell that to Dick Cheney, who has used the term “Bush Doctrine” in speeches before…

Try doing some of that research yourself

  7. Unfortunately for people like Steve in Michigan, Charlie was more accurate than you imagined him to be. The Bush Doctrine was defined in the National Security Strategy of the United States, published on September 20, 2002 by National Security Council document. It was updated in 2006 and states stated:

“ It is an enduring American principle that this duty obligates the government to anticipate and counter threats, using all elements of national power, before the threats can do grave damage. The greater the threat, the greater is the risk of inaction – and the more compelling the case for taking anticipatory action to defend ourselves, even if uncertainty remains as to the time and place of the enemy’s attack. There are few greater threats than a terrorist attack with WMD. To forestall or prevent such hostile acts by our adversaries, the United States will, if necessary, act preemptively in exercising our inherent right of self-defense.”
