Johannesburg In Your Pocket is in print!  In Your Pocket is a European-based city-guide series currently in more than 100 cities, and Johannesburg is the first city outside of Europe to produce an In Your Pocket guide.

So this crazy mining camp of a town finally has a  city guide that is as helpful and necessary for visitors from out of town as it for those of us who call this place home (yes you, the person who have never travelled further than the route between Houghton Estate and Hyde Park Corner, or from Soweto to Midrand on the M1).

We have made sure that the guide is jam-packed with useful information and all you need to know in order to enjoy your time in Johannesburg. The venues listed are independent of advertising and are those that we have carefully selected because we think they are places you should visit and know about. Every venue listed has been visited and experienced and we have done our utmost to ensure all information is up to date. [If you spot anything out of place or just plain wrong – mail us at johannesburg@inyourpocket.com and tell us. We are not afraid to apologise when we are wrong or to make corrections.]

The guide is a quarterly print guide – available to guests in more than 30 fabulous accommodation establishments – or for sale from a growing number of gift stores, small booksellers and cafes. [Use the opportunity to secure your copy to find  a new haunt in Joburg – stockists list] The content is all online at www.johannesburg.inyourpocket.com and you will find a super excellent updated culture & events section online that will defeat any excuse you have for believing there is nothing to do in Joburg. If you want to feel closer to us like us on Facebook where we spend far too much time posting fantastic stories, photos, videos and other interesting items on or about this city.

And if you still have some time to kill – listen to me being interviewed this week by Steve B on KayaFM Bizz. Just press play.

To buy your copy of the guide head to these stockists.
