Today's the day for change as the US votes

#58. Watch Americans queue. It’s Election Day and the world watches, holding its breath as a superpower remakes itself. No election, possibly barring South Africa’s 1994 miracle, can compete with this most watched, most anticipated moment. Although this time it’s 2008 and those of us who are not US citizens, have been able to take part in this election in a way that has been unprecedented.

We are living in a digital world and that means we can watch, listen, share, interact and even get an election on our mobile phone (not to be taken as another excuse to drive really badly). It’s our election as much as it is anyone else’s.

Americans, if you can hear me: Please use your vote for good, and not for evil. For change, for less greed, more integrity, less war, less prejudice, and for a cleaner planet. Use it with the idea that this little planet needs someone who wears their underpants on the outside and who believes the world can change, a little, for the better.
